When we compare ourselves to others, what we are really doing is showing a lack of appreciation for the way that God created us. We value external things more than what God values. It is not until we understand what God values that we will see that there is no need to compare ourselves to others.
Before we can even begin to fight the adversity and opposition that is ready to stand against us, we must first fight a bigger battle that comes from within. The battle we must fight is our own self-image. We place blame on others for our failures and shortcomings but if we took a deeper look at where the problem lies, we would realize that it is in the way that we see ourselves.
I was reluctant to write this post. I had fears and doubts as to whether it would be good enough.
