If you’re anything like me, you dread the sight of seeing nametags. They only mean one thing: INTRODUCTIONS.
The thought of giving introductions or telling other people about myself gives me a little bit of anxiety.
I always struggle with what I’m going to say or what I should say and how it will measure in comparison to who others say that they are.
Before I found out about the word “introvert” I was labeling myself as “reserved” and “quiet.”
All of these words in one way or another speaks to some aspects of my personality, but they are not the sum total of who I am.
When you’re an introvert, that means that you primarily turn “inwards” or find satisfaction with your inner thought life. You find it enjoyable to spend a lot of time alone or in solitude. Nothing wrong with that.
It only becomes a problem when you use it as an excuse to stay by yourself.
I feel like I need to say this.
I’m not here to give you tips and tricks on how to change your life or how to make your life better. What I am here to do, however, is share my stories, my experiences, and my life encounters and what I’ve learned from them, with hopes that you’ll gain or take away something from them as well.
My blog has gone through many changes since I’ve started and that’s primarily because I wasn’t sure of who I wanted to write to and what specifically I wanted my blog to be about.
