How to Pamper Yourself Without Spending Much Money

It always makes me feel good when I set aside time to pamper myself. While some people like to go to the salon or nail shop, I like pampering myself right at home! It saves me money and I look just as good afterwards (yes, I’m tooting my own horn).
It’s a great accomplishment to know that I can achieve a salon quality look right in the comfort of my own home. It may not be perfect (they’re called professionals for a reason), but it’s sure pretty darn close!
One of the easiest ways to pamper yourself is by trying out a new look. I’ve been wanting to try the “pipe cleaner” curl on my locs for quite some time now and I finally got around to doing it. The results were amazing and I received a lot of compliments. A lot of people walked up to me asking what “they” had done to get my hair the way that it was (assuming that I had gotten it done in a salon). I humbly replied, “Oh, I did this myself” (and for a fraction of the cost I might add).

I didn’t get too many compliments on my nails per se. But that’s okay. I wasn’t looking for any. I simply wanted to spend some time glamming myself up. I did however, receive compliments on the nail color.
All together, the products that I used on my hair did not cost me much at all. The prices were as follows:
Water: Free ninety-nine (lol that means free)
Chenille Stems (pipe cleaners): $3.49
Jane Carter Solution Natural Twist Out Foam: $11.99 (Which, by the way is totally optional. water works just fine)
Total: $15.50
The prices for the products I used on my nails were as follows:
Essie Topless and Barefoot: $8.50ish
Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps: $4.89
Sally Hansen No Chip Acrylic Top Coat:  $3.99
Total: $18.00
Grand total: $35.50
Where can you go and get your hair and nails done for $35.00? Nowhere!
But aside from cheaper prices, I just love taking the time to be attentive to myself.
Look up different hairstyles online or YouTube to that you would like to try out. Find nail options and ideas on Pinterest. There are tons of things that you can do to pamper yourself at home. It’s all about using your resources!
