You may be surprised to find that peer pressure exists in college. But you may be even more surprised when you find that it happens to you.
Don’t worry, it happens to us all.
At some point, you’re bound to find yourself in a position where you have to make a tough decision between going along with the crowd and going your own separate way.
At first you might choose to do what everyone else is doing, but eventually you’ll come to a place where you’ll discover a fork in the road. This is the ultimate decision that you must make. Where do I go from here?
It’s typical for some of us to go along with what everyone else is doing because, well…that’s what everyone else is doing. Aside from that, our curiosity is in place about trying new things. And now that we have the freedom to do whatever we want without our parents ever finding out (or so we think), we figure, why not?
We will do this until something deep within us urges us to think about the way in which we have been going. It is at this point that you’ve met your fork square on.
Chances are if you have stopped to consider the road that you have taken, then you aren’t completely happy.
But that’s okay.
This is your time to re-evaluate–to reconsider the path that you have been on.
If you aren’t happy with the decisions that you have made or even the crowd that you have found yourself hanging out with, you CAN change. You CAN remove yourself. And you CAN make better choices.
Do all that you can to become a better person– to become a better you!
